Typical white wooden church from the 19th century sitting by the Norefjord. Local weather conditions made it look almost black with fast growing fungi. To clean the church and conserve it with traditional linseed oil paint it took two months of hard physical work. Wood on the tower had to be partly replaced because of the rot. We used a 25-metre lift to reach all the places, some hidden, some exposed and high. It was very tricky to manoeuvre the heavy machine between the graves, on unstable ground around the church. All in all a big effort, but a huge success for the company. |
